What is the Business Visa Program (BVP)?
The Business Visa Program facilitates the application for business visas by providing expedited visa interview appointments for employees of AmCham Abu Dhabi corporate members with an urgent need to travel to the United States for a valid business purpose and who are unable to obtain a timely appointment via the U.S. Mission Internet-based appointment system.
How do I qualify for this program?
The applicant must be an employee of a Platinum Member or Corporate Member to be able to take part in this program.
I am an Individual Member of AmCham Abu Dhabi; do I qualify for the BVP?
No. The applicant must be an employee of a Platinum Member or Corporate Member of AmCham Abu Dhabi to be able to take part in this program.
Who is not eligible for this program?
Contractors, subcontractors, and other applicants who are not employees of AmCham Abu Dhabi Corporate members are not eligible to participle in the program.
Do I have to pay for this program?
AmCham Abu Dhabi does not charge a fee to its corporate members for the Business Visa Program.
If the requirements for applying for a visa through BVP are the same as applying through the U.S. Embassy, what are the merits of this program?

I have tried to make an appointment via the U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi website, but the appointments are two months from today. I need to travel in 3 weeks, what should I do?
As a Platinum or Corporate Member of AmCham Dhabi you have access to the Business Visa Program. After receiving a complete Request Package, AmCham Abu Dhabi will make an expedited appointment request by contacting the Embassy. The desired appointment date will be not less than three business days after the date of the request from AmCham Abu Dhabi.
I am a member of another city/country AmCham. Am I eligible for AmCham Abu Dhabi’s BVP?
We are able to provide our service only to individuals who are registered with AmCham Abu Dhabi as Platinum and Corporate Members.
How many appointment requests can I submit to AmCham Abu Dhabi per year?
Platinum members may submit an unlimited number of appointment requests per year. Corporate members are limited to ten appointment requests per year.
What are the parameters for business travel?
The applicant must demonstrate an urgent need to travel to the United States for a valid business purpose and be unable to obtain a timely appointment via the Internet-based U.S. Mission visa appointment system. Travel for purely vacation or personal reasons is not covered by the Program. However, accompanying family members do not need to be traveling to the United States for a business purpose, and an employee’s multiple purpose trips ( i.e. , business and pleasure) qualify.
What documents are required for AmCham Abu Dhabi to submit a Business Visa appointment request to the U.S. Embassy?

Do all BVP applicants receive a U.S. visa?
Only consular officers can determine visa eligibility under the law, participation in the Program in no way guarantees the issuance of a non-immigrant visa.
Does AmCham Abu Dhabi track my visa application?
No. Under section 222(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), visa records are confidential. In the interests of confidentiality and privacy, the Embassy does not comment on individual applications. AmCham Abu Dhabi is unable to contact the Embassy regarding applications once the interview appointment has been set. What if I do not meet the criteria to participate in this program?
AmCham Abu Dhabi corporate member employees who need a visa to travel to the United States, but who do not meet the Program criteria, should review the Embassy’s website for more information about application procedures.
