Garold "Gary" Adams is President of Parsons MEA, a primary business unit of Parsons Corporation. Parsons is a global engineering, construction, technical, and management services firm headquartered in California, with 15,000 employees and revenues exceeding $3 billion. In this role, Gary leads the company’s land development, buildings, roads and bridges operations throughout the MEA region, and provides regional leadership for all of the corporation’s 5,000-employee MEA businesses. He has city and regional government experience in Southern California as a former planning commissioner, city councilman and mayor. He was an ex officio director of the local chamber of commerce. He has served on numerous regional boards, including a toll road authority, regional airport authority, and the board of one of the largest Boy Scouts of America councils. Gary spent four years lecturing on transportation topics at two Southern California universities. He is a registered professional engineer and holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and a master's degree in engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He has lived in Abu Dhabi for a year and half with his wife and two sons. He served as a facilitator of the Engineering, Construction and Project Management for last year’s AmCham Roundtable Summit.
