Sana Bagersh is CEO of BrandMoxie, a leading advertising agency, and is also managing editor of Tempo, a community magazine that promotes design, business and innovation. Sana is founder of Tamakkan, an entrepreneurship and leadership organization that offers guidance to SMEs. Sana has taught as adjunct professor at Zayed University, and also served on industry advisory committees, including at Higher Colleges of Technology Women’s College and Abu Dhabi Vocational Institute. Sana is currently Chair of AmCham Abu Dhabi’s Arts & Culture committee. A supporter of women’s empowerment, she is a founding member and former chair of AmCham's Women in Business Committee, where she designed the AmCham Women Achieve Initiative, which encourages companies to nurture women staff into leadership positions. Sana worked at Gulf News in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., for seven years as reporter and as bureau chief. She lived in Seattle, Washington for seven years where she worked in a marketing research company and a Boeing subsidiary before setting up Alla Italia, a gourmet restaurant. Sana worked at Thuraya, a U.A.E. based telecom company owned by 21 member-nations, from 1999 to 2006. As Manager Marketing Services, she implemented marketing campaigns for Thuraya in several languages across multiple media channels, for a footprint of 110 countries. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication from the University of Tennessee.
