Jeff Lodinsky
Consul General
US Embassy Abu Dhabi

Jeff Lodinsky is the chief of the Abu Dhabi Consular Section and is responsible for the delivery of all consular service in both Abu Dhabi and at US Consulate Dubai. Over a 25-year Department of State career, he has served in a number of countries performing a variety of duties. Prior to arriving at Embassy Abu Dhabi, Mr. Lodinsky was Consul General at US Embassy Kabul. He has also served as Consul General at Embassies Baghdad, Budapest, Almaty, and Muscat. In London, he served as Deputy Consul General and was responsible for the delivery of all visa services at one of the Department’s most highly visible posts. He also served as Senior Civilian Representative in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, where he was responsible for the supervision and coordination of all US government civilian activities in Regional Command East Afghanistan. He has also served in Washington, DC, Frankfurt, Germany, and Oslo, Norway.


Don Frerichs
Deputy Consular Section Chief and Non-Immigrant Visa Chief
US Embassy Abu Dhabi

Don Frerichs is the Deputy Section Chief and Non-Immigrant Visa Chief at the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi. Prior to arriving in Abu Dhabi Mr. Frerichs served in La Paz, Bolivia, first as the Director of the Narcotics Affairs Section and subsequently as the Economic and Commercial Officer. As the Economic and Commercial Officer he worked extensively with AmCham and coordinated the Embassy’s efforts to attract American firms and investment to Bolivia. He has also served in consular capacities in Rome, Sao Paulo, Mexico City and Washington DC.
